So what is coworking?
More and more of us now work from home. While the flexibility is great, it can also be isolating, particularly if you live in a rural area.
Coworking – working alongside other people – developed as a way to solve this problem. There are now coworking venues in many parts of the UK, offering hot-desking alongside all the facilities you’d expect in a small office. But coworking is about far more than desk space. It’s also about building a community. At it’s best, coworking brings like-minded people together, to work and learn alongside each other.
Unlike a traditional networking event, a Coworking Day is a great way to work alongside other freelancers, entrepreneurs and remote workers in a friendly, relaxed setting – so bring along your laptop or paperwork. And there will also be lots of time to get to know your fellow co-workers, to find out more about each other’s projects.
Try coworking on Friday June 28th
If you like the idea of coworking, why not give it a try?
Come along to the first Cowork East pop-up coworking day, run by Rural Enterprise East and myworkhive.com, and meeting in Otley, Suffolk.
Rural Enterprise East supports people-powered business in rural areas. It is a space to work, meet, collaborate, network and grow.
myworkive is a Suffolk social enterprise using remote and digital tools to help people return to work after a long gap – plus cutting carbon emissions from commuting.
The space has everything you need for a productive day at work. Lucy from myworkhive and the team from Rural Enterprise East will be on hand to make you feel welcome.
Bonus event: The first meeting of the Suffolk Ethical Business Network will also be held at REE in the afternoon – you’re welcome to take part!
